Exactly the same. Do you have any idea, why it's happening or how to cure it (besides switching to some other browser?

No, absolutely no idea. In my case, Edge started to act like that after 16226 upgrade.

I like this 16232 Build. I use it on my "everyday" Desktop. It actually installed with NO problems during the night while I was sleeping. Quite the surprise when I woke up in the morning. I was running 199 for weeks, and 226 NEVER loaded after 20+ attempts. Maybe just me, but I find this 232 a bit "faster" than 199 ????

Struggling to persuade a physical machine to go from 16226 (originally installed via a UUP-to-ISO ISO) and pick up 16232 via Windows Update.

Tried Disk Clean-up, then the Windows Update Troubleshooter, which Edge blocks, claiming it contains a virus!

I got it to download via Firefox but it was already clear that the Force was not strong with me today and that didn't work either, so I've given up for now.

Yes, but it's not a constant thing and very rare. It seems to happen when after quoting and typing a lot of text such as you did. It happened in a past build, but can't remember which. I guess it's an Edge flaw then. No problem in Word, Notepad, or any other text editing program.

Like I said, I just wait for the next yellow auto save here, click cancel, (I missed press F5 for refresh page), go to the page's last text box, click "Restore Auto-Saved Content button, and finish the post with no problems.

We shall claim and call it a new language > Edge Jibberish.

    The Edge is still edgy.

Whenever I try to use the pen or highlighter, the pen icon never renders. It's always a "loading" blue circle.

Plus I don't see myself using this...

They were busted in 16226, also. ALT + "anything" does nothing.... even the dumb alt+0176 won't give °. Only HTML code will.
On my system the Alt keys work in Edge (but not in Firefox) and the feedback page. No response in Word, Excel, Outlook, Notepad (or other text editors.)
Samples generated with Alt codes ¤°—
    I'm typing this in Edge.

    Edit:
When I started the capture (for feedback) while typing into Word I found that hitting Enter after entering the Alt code inserted the character. But not in Notepad++.
Skype Classic, The Alt code character appears after pressing Ctrl+Enter.

It's interesting to watch the Edge vs IE processes in Task Manager.

Looked up Runtime Broker: runtime broker windows 10 - Bing

And wow! When I opened a second tab (Ctrl/T) in IE, Cortana via Bing (my home page) wished me an animated Happy Birthday wish.

Press make a wish button and got another animation.

Unca Tony is what my nieces and nephews call me. It's what I have Cortana calling me since I don't want an intimate relationship with her.
