Wyn. did you actually read what I posted? Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 16232 PC + 15228 Mobile Insider - Page 30 - Windows 10 Forums

Firstly, no one can make the ISO unless the download completes, although there have been some that say they can as of late. But at what point is that?

Yes, Kari's UUP to ISO is absolutely great. No doubt, but not 100% fail-proof. Why? We don't live in a perfect world with perfect systems or methodology.

Of course I'll let Kari speak for himself, but I'm sure he's man enough to admit that.

I stand corrected here. I guess 16193 is the latest ISO available.

I probably did, Hippsie; however, that's not the post I replied to, nor had I gotten to it when I replied to the following post:

If the UUP method fails, then I find "chicken" by ISO install rather silly also. What good is it to MS if the last build is sitting on a device? I don't think they would continue to study that telemetry, would they? Doubt that, but please see me to the end point here.

Although I'm grateful that Kari and others worked hard to create the UUP to ISO method, I highly suggest MS offer the ISO to those Insiders where UUP failed. Make them prove failure if need be with an install log recording failure. I would think MS would read those logs for the source of failure anyway, unless they already do. Would anyone know?
There is a world of difference between the post you point out and the post I replied to.

Also, please note that I am not advocating that Microsoft not give us ISOs; I'm merely pointing out my belief that Microsoft will not pass out ISOs on an individual basis.

You made a grown up man blush, dear Wynona :)

Well, then I'll be the first to make a sign and stand in line, for MS releases an ISO right after the slow ringers get the update. The last I knew anyway. It makes no sense to me unless there's significant reason MS has for a system to be used with an old build on it. I haven't heard them give any.
A simple question: why does Microsoft release an ISO always before a bug bash week, like now last time the 16193 ISO? Doesn't that indicate that they are more interested in bug bashing, finding what's wrong with Windows and its apps, than about how you got it installed? They seem to consider a clean installer also as an Insider.

They release those ISO images so that as many Insiders as possible could participate in bug bash and provide feedback.

Without providing a link I want to simply state that I've found a so-called warez site that can provide, among many other ISO's, a Combo with all those editions except the Chinese and on an ISO that can be burned to a single standard DVD for build 16226.
First: there should be no need to download warez ISO images. Only requirement for making your own ISO is the ability to read and follow instructions.

Second: A fact is, sorry to say, that our fellow American geeks often completely disregard the fact that not all of us use US English Windows; those freely available ISO images on various warez sites usually only contain US English (and Russian) language version. Usually seeing those links here there's no mention about language, as if it was obvious to the poster that all Insiders and our members alike naturally need a US English ISO.

OK, then. Back to the stuff I mentioned in my earlier posts: If some of those members criticizing us "clean installers" and "ISO makers" could please explain to me what is the authority your critic is based on?

Good point, Kari. And to take it a step further . . .

Why indeed would Microsoft release any ISOs at all if we're not supposed to use them when we deem it necessary?

Are you sure you want to ask this question, Kari? We've seen every reason known to man, but not one authorized by Microsoft.

Hi Guys (and Guyettes, as the case may be)

First post here. Been a windows Insider forever. Knowledgeable but not a pro so go easy on me. I am having an issue with WMP not playing vid and sound files since build 16215. Does it seem to you folk the only fix seems to be a clean install of 16232 or should I go back to earlier builds? The error I receive is class not registered. The error only occurs if I double click on a music file and let WMP open itself. The error does NOT occur if I have WMP already open and double click on the desired file.

I thank any and all in advance for any assistance offered.

Yes, I know I could use other players but I like WMP., and really, it should work.

    Welcome to TenForums, Copper.

A clean install does wonders and could solve your problem with WMP. Or not. I haven't used it since I don't download music, although I have a few gazillion CDs. I had lost track of it to the extent I didn't know it was now a part of Windows 10 without cost. Or, is it?

I'd be caught trying the clean install first, unless it might be a pain in the ***.

That's cool. We were typing at the same time. Just didn't want the guy's issue to get all intermixed with Insider ISO "issues". Would be difficult, at best, to sort out what goes with what!

I had to RMA my motherboard and so had to install windows again on may old AMD FX system. Now comes the trouble as I have 3 monitors and when all 3 are connected my Taskbar got stretched between center (main, default) monitor and right monitor. Start button is on main monitor and so is time/date but everything else that's supposed to be next to clock is at right monitor, right corner. Tried all the settings for taskbar but nothing helps.
I have same GPU driver, in same monitor arraignment in W7 but there i works properly. This is first time something like that happened.

My bad in posting to the wrong spot. Ignorance is bliss.......

I thank you all for what responses and suggestions you have given.

To those that showed interest I have 7TB of music all in FLAC. Yes, I am a bit of a music buff. I moved from vinyl to CD and now to FLAC. (Yes, am old, too!)

It is not that big a deal to clean boot but the ISO I have of 16322 seems too large for my drive (although it seems to fit the program says it doesn't) Can I clean boot from another HDD? I have 3 installed as well as an external "My Book" and an 8 TB external drive.

Apologies for asking what may be too easy to those that know and thanks in advance.

PS is it OK to continue here or would you rather I left to continue this at the correct forum?
