Same here Kari sort of - if I open a tab, then another, close the 1st tab, right click on the 2nd tab it works ok.
I think there has to be a "closed tab" in order to re-open it - or something like that -

Of course there must be a closed tab to be able to re-open a closed tab. In my case it's just that I can never re-open closed tabs, that context menu option is always greyed out.

Works here, Kari. Try the down arrow to expose tab thumbnails. Perhaps that may liven the grey-out?

I have been opening and closing tabs and what I am seeing is inconsistent behavior. I have no "sure" answer to give here.

ETA - booted to version 1703-15063.413, Edge version 4.0.15063.00. Opening and closing tabs has consistent behavior - open some, close all but 1 and can re-open every one closed.

For me, most of the time it has to be the immediate next action for the mouse, if you give the mouse another task in between, "Reopen closed tab" will be greyed out.

Yes, still persists! It's starting to p*ss me off!

Came up with a work around:

Enable WMP Taskbar Band as a means to keep WMP open in the background. Only works for the current session though!

    As i dont use Edge,
This is a stab in the dark

A closed tab should in theory become part of the history setting, so if that option is dissabled then it aint gonna work!!.

As I also had minor issues with Start tiles (tile right click menu not shown), I booted to Command Prompt and deleted %localappdata%\Microsoft\Windows\InetCache folder which usually resolves most Edge issues, and %localappdata%\Microsoft\Windows\UserClass.dat file which usually resolves Start / Search / Cortana issues.

Back to desktop, both Edge > Re-open closed tab and tile context menus working again.
