This update somehow messed up some non-english localizations, it's confirmed issue and MS is working on a fix, afaik.

That's fine, I'm not debating it doesn't seem to appear any more thru WU. All I was saying, and others, is that nowhere is there any announcement from MS that it has, in fact, been pulled from WU. I'm aware I can get it from the catalog, but I don't need to. That's all, no debate intended.
Hi Folks,
All of a sudden I get this "Windows not Activated" message at the bottom right corner. I went to check the settings under windows updates and it says "windows not activated" instead of a "windows is activated with a digital license". My Win 7 license was traded in for the free windows 10 upgrade when it came out. How do I fix this? Need help, please. TIA
I will be waiting for the replacement update being released to the Inside's slow ring. The update is mentioned here in another thread.
I haven't seen a black screen on boot on my two systems so far but it looks like some folks are.
Check the update 7/5 ... I cannot post a link for some reason, maybe 2716..
I have two computers that I got the update on, both similar in hardware and software but not identical. One ran with the update fine, no problems. The other became very unstable, I had to restore back to before update. Now the mach. is fine. There is a one year difference in the age of the machines. Newer mach. ran update with no problems.

@ Cheezz,
If your Win 7's license was legit (not questioning your honesty), all you have to do is to call Microsoft support, explains the problem and have them activate your Windows 10 with a new digital license (Activation on line). You can actually search for Microsoft Support phone number in Google or Edge

If you go to Settings and click on System and then Notifications and Actions, under Get Notifications from these senders, do you find your settings are correct and behaving normally?
I ask because I tried the update on a few different computers and they all showed the same problem and behavior in this area with settings changing from the way they were set or all showing as on (regardless if they are in fact on or not) even after being reset. I've read of others too who saw this.
Just curious if there are people who don't see this issue.

Separately, it's been a while since this update is no longer available via Windows updates. I had to uninstall it from one computer very shortly after it became available initially because of issues which resolved after uninstall. I put it on a netbook to play with it and same issues and uninstalled. I had actually blocked it with show/hide on one computer successfully and it disappeared from the tool like it was never blocked and then couldn't be downloaded. As well, it is not being offered to a few computers that I've seen including one where I believe it was offered it at one point in addition to the ones uninstalled. Very strange. Why hasn't Microsoft said anything about this? It's going on nearly a week. Is this common behavior?
Hi,
Guess I must be one of the lucky ones. No probs whatsoever with that CU.
Cheers,
