Got my power supply and wife installed it perfectly. The first attempt to upgrade failed after the first reboot - stuck at working on updates 33% error code was 0x800706483. Downloaded the Windows Update troubleshooter wu170509.diagcab and it claimed to fix the problem. Now it is trying again but bizarrely when I check update history the error code changed to 0x80240034 (You can't make this stuff up :).

On a different front on the server I did successfully install Windows 10 Enterprise IP Build 16226 from a warez (can't provide the link) ISO which contains ALL the Windows 10 Insider Build 16226 editions (including the N series for all of them). Anyway I ran bash after installing the WSL feature and I noticed the prompt said to get the Linux distribution from Microsoft Corporation (not msstore). So hers what that looks like

Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 16226 for PC-wsl-store.png Where's the beef? I mean Ubuntu (at least) let alone Fedora SuSE.

Do you guys at MS know what you are doing.

PS Kari you know what you are doing since this time UUPtoISO worked like a charm even though the updaTe failed. Guess this ISO is NOT warez although its only for Windows 10 Pro. If this ongoing updaTe fails. (its a 62% installing before the first boot) then I'll run setup from the DVD or directly from the mounted ISO.

A pleasure to have my main computer back.

I actually got lucky on a search for the WSL problem, but also, mea culpa Brink, provided the solution.

just run lxrun /install from an elevated command prompt. Now why could that have been in the release notes?
    I

However, there is a warning that lxrun.exe can only be used to install the "legacy" WSL. This is the first I can remember that a feature that is labeled as beta is also called "legacy" Microsoft Speak I guess

What an extraordinary statement....are you suggesting you know how to make a foolproof system?.....this is after all a Beta.
Have never encountered the multiple problems you apparently have, suggests yours are mostly self made.

One tiny eyecandy issue bothers me: In Edge when using dark theme there's now this white line under Favorites bar. I was quite surprised to notice how much it really bothers me, not of course a deal breaker forcing me to revert but anyway.

    I'm talking about this line:

Same on another site, where it can be better seen:

Only being able to upgrade last night and early this morning, when finally on desktop I panicked and lost it noticing that although I very much like the new on-demand OneDrive, the upgrade deleted everything from two OD for Business accounts which were set to sync all content to local machine. What followed was a 5 minute monologue as follows: "Oh <cursing and foul language removed>!". Files and folders were deleted both from my machine and from OD online.

For those ever facing the same issue, remember there's no need to panic (which I of course first forgot!). After having a pot of coffee and a few cigarettes in balcony to calm my nerves I suddenly rememberd that OD keeps deleted items in Recycle bin for 30 days.

Everything is OK now, I found everything and was able to recover all content :)

Only there to define that it is not part of the page you are browsing on Kari, while still giving favourite options.
Could it be the aftermath of a hangover having had a surfeit of the amber liquid?

Do you refer to this white line I mentioned? I use screenshot often to check it myself, if it's the reason you mentioned of if something really is there

Dencal, in all honesty I do not get your point? I mean, even in your screenshot the white line is visible.

I'm not sure you have paying complete attention to what people are posting here. The quality of these builds has definitely gone down, imho, during the 16xxxx series of releases. Certainly some of my problems are self-inflicted, I'm not sure that anybody that does beta testing has made such errors.

As you know there is no such thing as a foolproof system. But errors like the WSL Linux Storefront are really amateur, imho. If you produce an error message which is essentially a link to a URL and then, apparently, don't check out the link, well most kindly I suppose you can chalk it up to lack of communication between development teams.
