I cannot type in metro apps and start menu anymore.

    I'll try disabling WerFault.exe

Looks like it's my turn to have problems with installing the build. Reversing twice already, once with normal way and second from ISO.

Are there any ISOs, mine keeps failing and I've tried 4 times so far.

Did you already make your own ISO and try upgrading from it?

And after 6 and a half hours I am at the 16226 desktop. It takes longer every time.

Last two upgrades have had a lot of changes - no wonder it takes longer.

Personally I would never use ATI again having had bad experiences with it. IMO Macrium Reflect is far superior.
Thanks for the reply. I know others have had issues with ATI, but it has served me well for years - until the last few Insider upgrades. As previously mentioned - I uninstalled it and reinstalled it after upgrade.

You are also correct about the time factor - doing more takes longer.

I made an ISO late last night but the esd is not in the folder beginning with 5721f7. The ISO was successfully created but I have yet to test it.
