I have no idea why this could happen. I switched off last night, turned the computer on this morning, Outlook would not start font sizes in True Launch and Revo were screwed up. In frustration I restarted the computer and it rectified those issues so I turned the computer off completely and started up again, the issues were back, I restarted and they were gone again ..... STRANGE. Any ideas most welcome.
Do you have Fast Start and Hibernation enabled?

If you're not sure, copy/paste this into a admin command and post answer from the .txt file on your desktop.

    powercfg /a > %userprofile%\desktop\powercfg.txt

Yes fast start is enabled. I have just go into power settings and turned it off. Hibernation was not enabled.

Well....Fast Start requires Hibernation, so probably they both were. What you saw maybe was that Hibernation was not checked to show on the Power Button selections. To be absolutely sure, at a command prompt copy/paste this. It will definitely disable hibernation.

    powercfg /h off

Then, as a test, totally power down. Let it sit for at least a minute. Power back up and see if the issue is still there.

I just copied and pasted powercfg /h off
I'll give it a go later, unfortunately I am running late for work. Thanks for the advice . I'll see what happens when I get home and start up now that I have disabled both hibernation and fast start.

I just copied and pasted powercfg /h off into an admin cmd prompt .... unfortunately I am now running late for work so I'll check and see if that fixed the issue when I get home. When I checked the fast start radio button was checked and hibernation wasn't so not sure why that would be but hopefully that command you gave me solves it. Thanks for the help. I'll post my results back here on my return home.

The hibernation radio button is for "Show on Power Selection" button, not whether it is enabled or not.

In Explorer right click on the ISO file and select mount. You can then access the contents of the ISO and simply run setup.exe. This is the best to upgrade assuming you either create the ISO yourself before a reboot (then it doesn't matter that it reverts to the previous build) or otherwise obtain an ISO.

Well turning off fast start seems to have fixed it. Just turned on my computer (cold boot) and everything is working as it should . Thanks for your help f14tomcat, greatly appreciated.
