    Hmm. This will be the third time I'm attempting reboot (if I do). Watched it go through all phases of updating. Says it completed. When rebooting it goes to dual boot choice screen, which it shouldn't. It should reboot straight to 16226 bypassing the choice screen. Says it updated and awaiting restart. Upgrading from 16215. Dual boot with 15063. Any ideas?
    This rig finally updated and by itself with some hammering. Just needed a bigger hammer.

    After roughly 6 attempts it finally went through the proper update cycle (working on updates > rebooting a few times) without going to boot options menu. A few times it would get to the point where it prepared, downloaded the update, installed them, and presented restart all over again. The last attempt did the trick. Persistence paid off I guess. :)

    Your 15603's boot manager is messed up anyway. Just coninue the 16226 upgrade and fix 15603 boot issue after. I usually use Macrium to fix boot problem.
    Thanks for posting this, but that wasn’t it, for I could boot into either OS. Perhaps I wasn’t clear enough in my post? It's that the update process went/was faulty. The boot manager is still working fine as always.

    The Virtualbox VM is failing to update. Keeps saying it needs a reboot after which it just boots 16215. Not exceptionally interested in debugging - I have a VMware WS VM which is on 16226.
    Had this problem too with Hyper V...decided to delete it completely and install
    16226 on a separate partition. Better experience apart from the ongoing blurry text/scaling issue: At 125% device manager is sharp but too small, task manager is blurry and too big...
    Come on MS sort it out!!

    Update: Using XPExplorer fix at 125% requires couple of reboots but then displays fine

    Yes. Just kept hammering away on it. It eventually worked itself out. After clicking reboot, a sit n spin screen would appear for quite awhile. Maybe 3 or 4 minutes?. I could see it working by my LEDs. Sometimes there would be bursts of that, then quiet for a bit, then a last burst and reboot. Something isn't "hooking" it to continue on in the update process I would guess.

    The folder I found the necessary files is \f5d00a0ff1a9f734f9f7f6a8493236cb

    I found that my system did, in fact, have a partial .NET 3.5 installation, so I have removed that, deleted everything in that folder and in the ~BT folder, and am starting the process again.

    Let's see if it works this time.

    @AndreTen

    This is after attempts, shutting it down for the night, attempts first thing in the morning, shutting it down to go shopping, then coming back to hammer again. It finally took off.

    We fixed a Hyper-V issue resulting in some Insiders not being able to connect to VMs in the last flight.

    I wonder if this is the iGPU on the CPU chip?
    In his pic, that is the NVidia, but GPU 0 would probably be the Intel iGPU.....it is on mine.
