I actually installed it in hyper-v, and then native booted vhd and it worked fine.

I have also tried the new placeholder replacement and it is a bit cack handed using it but it works.

I had to drag and drop files to a synced folder first, upload files, then use the save storage option. I could upload files direct via web instead.

It would have been easier if you could simply set the syncing folder to syncs and delete automatically it seems to me. Maybe this is possible but I could not see how?

One thing I could not get working was the new dictation option on the new keyboard yet. I am not sure if this is because I have a problem, or the option is not yet available?
I tried using Hyper-V for the very first time to install this build but couldn't get it to install. I tried installing it from the ISO on my HDD and it kept looking for my DVD drive. I tried installing from a DVD I made and it kept looking for another source to install from. When I used VMware it installed without any problems. I haven't really tested it. I basically just wanted to see if I could get it to install. It does use my WiFi to connect to the web. I'm on build 16199 at the moment. Think I'll start VMware and do some testing.

Was going to retry this weekend but did not feel like it would be worth the pain. During all my install trying last week, I ended up stopping updates for apps from the Store and Windows Update isn't working to well either. Tried every cure found here on the forum and on the web for both but to no avail. Strongly suspect both problems are closely related.

For now we just need to wait for MS to found out why some of us are having problems trying to get 16215 to upgrade over 16199. The way I'm looking at it now is even if we got it to install what kind of problems would we encounter. Hopefully MS will fix the problem and get a new build out soon.

It's not just over 16199. I tried to install 16215 over 1703 (Build 15063.413) this weekend and it stopped at 30% just like with 16199.

I get the 30% issue. I find if you switch off pc and restart, it just carries on.

Well, here is something odd. I was just using new placeholder replacement, and I noticed my Onedrive storage allowance had increased from 15GB (I registered for that when they dropped allowance to 5GB) to 30 GB but I have no idea why.

Has MS quietly increased basic allowances or did I miss something?

It's much easier to install 16215 in a VM. Here's a screenshot of a Windows 10 Buiild 16215 VM running in a nested ESXi6.5 Hypervisor running under VMware WS Pro 12.5.6 on my Windows Server 2016. Audio works fine Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 16215 PC + 15222 Mobile-esxi-windows-10-vm.jpg which amazes me.

Curiosity, at what point do you just switch it off?

At 30%, it normally reboots but I have found it often fails to restart, so I power cycle and it carries on. I have even done it when it is sitting at 30% and not moving. The upgrade seems to be quite lenient of powering down at 30% (but of course.....).

Interesting. And you say it completes the install? If I remember correctly, it was at 33% that mine rebooted the first time.
