We all have our own views, it what makes us human
On the back page of Popular Science, I seen an add for a DIY ZX81 Sinclair computer kit. I opted in for extra memory and went from the basic 1K to 2K memory. Took several days to get it to work. Each time making sure I soldered the components in the correct holes on the mother board. Instructions said Channel 3 was the output, Tv was showing nothing but snow, and then by accident, discovered that they had included a uhf modulator in the kit for channel 68. Still in the attic.
Although I have some very old Windows and Linux media even with virtualization I find myself not very interested in them. My wife has a lot of old stuff as well. She ran a computer company in the 80's and on occasion we talk about those ancient days but not much.
Buildfeed canary is up to 16225 compiled Thursday. I'm still betting that 16226 which should have compiled Friday will be released next week but the way things are I wouldn't bet on anything. I don't expect any mention of the 215 disaster - many of us have found some way of installing it. It's a turkey though.
I actually installed it in hyper-v, and then native booted vhd and it worked fine.
I have also tried the new placeholder replacement and it is a bit cack handed using it but it works.
I had to drag and drop files to a synced folder first, upload files, then use the save storage option. I could upload files direct via web instead.
It would have been easier if you could simply set the syncing folder to syncs and delete automatically it seems to me. Maybe this is possible but I could not see how?
One thing I could not get working was the new dictation option on the new keyboard yet. I am not sure if this is because I have a problem, or the option is not yet available?
