That is one workaround right there. That is exactly what I am trying to say. If someone runs into the same error, he/she can do what you did.
Workaround yes but still don't know WHY (no error code). For some even that didn't work.

Yes...I pointed that out to the OP yesterday. Not "Released", per se, via Windows Update, but due to issues that MS admitted, they released the ISO.

Build 16193 ISO was released for Bug Bash week. It is not a slow ring build, and will not be offered to those machines set to slow ring.

Last slow ring build is official release of version 1703, build 15063.

I think, what we should take away from this build should not be how MS messed this up but rather what is causing this upgrade issues. I can't say MS made a mess because I did not have any issues with 16215 after doing the upgrade 3x. We should try to find out what scenarios are causing this problem and establish a workaround.
Someone should create a checklist thread where we can all list down things to check out that anyone can use as a reference when they are having upgrade issues. Sort of a "New Build FAQ".
Couldn't agree with you more. I feel we should be grateful that MS has the Insider program. Yes, a lot of free testing for them, but on the other hand oft times they add and upgrade/tweak features we like. One hand washes the other. Yes, 16215 is one of the most flawed builds released, but that's the risk we agreed upon being in the program.

That's the reason for this thread. Everyone should be reading and keeping up in it. Kari started When Insider build upgrade fails - A Workaround - Windows 10 Forums to aid in install rejection.

Although unpopular but I can see reasoning behind that too. Release a build and find out about errors or bugs and fix in next one(s).

I beg to differ on the "right side of the pond". We have not been colonies for quite some time and owe no allegiance to any monarchy nor other countries. We are a free Republic of the United States under our own constitution.
You have to forgive Kari as on that side of the pond they are just now getting beyond the Divine Right of Kings... j/k! And where Kari is, the viking ships still set sail I hear...and worry about dragons and sailing off the ends of the Earth are still hot topics of discussion in the chat rooms. (I'm sorry, Kari...couldn't resist! All in good fun...)

I decided to reinstall 215 on my computers which I had rolled back to 199. One is refusing to install now. One is installing. One has completely installed.

The former is usually much easier than the latter.

To fix bugs, you gotta make them first.
