I can tell you several good (really good!) reasons!

    • My ailing, low-end laptop does not manage video editing and encoding when booted normally. I have about 100 W10 videos on YouTube, when doing them I always have the same procedure: I capture videos on my normal main OS, then boot to same edition I have installed on a native boot VHD which is stripped down to boot using minimum services and start-up items only, leaving all possibly available resources to PowerDirector, my video editor of choice.
    • A gamer might want to do the same, have a duplicate W10 with all resources given to game of his / her choice.
    • A clever, careful user might want to duplicate his / her main OS for test purposes; test new software and devices on that spare duplicate OS without risking the main OS.
    • And so on...

    Hi,

This is about the worst IP edition I've ever seen.
The only way I managed to install it (not without errors either) was to do a clean install using tthe ISO I was able to build thanks to @Kari's UUP to ISO proggie.

I do realize this is IP but still, this one's way off. Hopefully they'll iron out the glitches before the Fall edition.

    Cheers,

It has been well publicised File History Backup is being removed but it looks like MS are making it even more obscure to get to the image backup "Backup and Restore (Windows 7) as these screens imply 15063 on left, and 16125 on left.

Dear Count, I was not criticizing or saying anything about being wrong. You told that you have never seen a reason, I told a few possible reasons. That was more as taking part in conversation than anything else.

File History will eventually be replaced by the new Timeline feature.

It would work if you had a 3D printer.

As a Brit, you will know what I mean when I say I must be related to Jose Mourihno with this build - took ages to install, minor glitch but came good in the end - bit like MU this season. I must be a "Special One" .
As a MU fan...I go back as far as the 1940s, Aston, Carey, Rowley, Pearson, Mitten, Delaney etc....I get your gist regarding Jose Mourihno.
Hopefully they can do even better next Season.

As posted earlier mine took 1hr 20mins to install......even with my fibre 250mbs download speed, and a Desktop i7 computer, it seems an inordinate amount of time for an update, although it installed without any glitches.
