Windows 10: Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 16215 PC + 15222 Mobile Insider

1 hour and 20 minutes on wired connection in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, definitely longer than usual. I'll install on my faster rig tomorrow. Right now it's running OS X Sierra.

Just finished downloading for me . . . I had to be gone and just got home awhile ago.

Remember to run
chkdsk (chkdsk /f if there are errors)
sfc /scannow
If either or these two come up with errors and are not fixed, you WILL go through the entire update sequence and then at the last gasp revert back to the last build! You can do it before or you can do it after. Why do I always end up doing it after? I tell you...

Update success. 1 hour 10 minutes. Chicagoland. 5 reboots for me on this one. Weird.
Got til December to test it.

The second attempt failed. Twice the installer reported it ran into a problem and restarted. The third time it restored 16199. I did get an error code 0x80070643. I think that means problem with the installer program. :-( Maybe Microsoft geeks will be hard at work tonight.
Yep, me too. I fixed my chkdsk problem but now it still errors out with this error. I have had this more often than not with updates lately.

Second attempt falls, stuck at 33% again on the orange screen. I will troubleshoot tomorrow afternoon.

F11 full screen for Edge. Nice.

The good news. A newly created Hyper-V Windows 10 VM successfully upgraded to Build 16215 from 16193. No problems.
The bad news is this update history on the physical machine.

The weird news. It still thinks to upgrade even though the Update Orchestrator service is turned off.
It thinks it is at 53% installing.
What will happen next is that after this fails - as it surely must - I try to reset to a clean build 16199 and update from that - otherwise create a 16193 ISO from the Microsoft Insider image iso. Or maybe not and play with upgrading all the other VMs
Apparently the People App is only accessible via the People Bar
