Hope this means the preview build is coming soon and it is the resurrection build to salvage the many problems of 16215.

Changed back from Slow Ring to Fast now since it said it took some time after a change in settings and wanted to be ready for a possible new release. BUT, in less than one minute it was downloading 215 again! Stopped that bad boy as fast as I could.

    Why?
    - it's running beautifully here..
    - so is Mobile build..
Because once I reset Windows Update, the ding blasted idiotic thing downloaded without warning and is now waiting for me to Restart. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

For every lucky one like you, there must be 50,000 out there that cannot install, or if it installs, cannot connect to the Internet.

    Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

After many unsuccessful attempts to update from 16199 to 16215 using Windows Update with the INACCESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE error, I attempted to update using the method Kari has detailed in "86497-when-insider-build-upgrade-fails-workaround-3.html" again without success and with the same error message.
I deferred updates, but this morning allowed updates again to get the "Patch Tuesday" security updates. My system tried to install 16215 again, unsuccessfully, but with error 0x80070057 this time in the "Update status" page
But "Update history" shows "Failed to install on ‎14/‎06/‎2017 - 0x80240034"
There are two identical "Failed to install ... " messages on the "Update history" page.

I see these messages in the event viewer, but I do not have enough knowledge to use the info.
But perhaps it may mean something to those with more expertise.

Windows 10 Skip Ahead Preview Build 18219
       14 Jun 2017 #576

This seems to have been a comedy of errors for me.

    1. First update to Build 16215; no Internet/Network.
    2. Roll back to Build 16199
    3. Second update to Build 16215; no Internet/Network
    4. Roll back to Build 16199
    5. After much discussion in the Network and Sharing Forum/Setting Up a Second Router as a Repeater/Range Extender/Bridge the solution was to move my Range Extender into the computer room and connect an Ethernet cable for Internet.
    6. Connect Ethernet cable from Extender to computer.
    7. Attempt to update to Build 16215; no go for whatever reason.
    8. Reset Windows Update in preparation for next Build.
    9. Without notification, Build 16215 has downloaded and is ready to Restart. Gahhhhhhhhhh
    10. I decided to go ahead and Restart, complete the update and see what happens.
    11. Update complete and no Internet/Network as expected.
    12. Connected Ethernet cable to Range Extender and computer.
    13. I was immediately connected to the Internet.
    14. Now to see how much is broken in this Build in the few hours I have left to test it.

For people who want to stay in de fast ring, but don't want to repeatedly download 215, you can download wushowhide.diagcab on Microsoft's website. I use this on a laptop to prevent downloading new drivers for my touchpad, because all the new drivers breaks down that particular touchpad. :)

But on the laptop where 215 can't be installed, I could also block this with this little tool.
