Hey Henry, :)
You could check for updates from within Office.

Well I did try it from word 2016, but it said up to date, unless it updated in the background? My Office 2016 is a monthly subscription for $6.99 + tax= $7.60. It also includes 1TB of Onedrive. Just started it this month.
Henry.
No problem. You can disable automatic updates for Office. :)
