    Hi there

One thing I noticed -the product ID is different on my two ACTIVATED build 10240 PRO Windows systems. I cloned my laptop to a Desktop - via Acronis universal restore -- and after some Windows updating some drivers after re-boot I noticed BOTH systems were ACTIVATED - although the desktop had a different product ID ..

    Go Figure ???

Both Still activated after some updates (Windows defender).

    Cheers

One of the first things I do after an install is change the name. Now I'm not sure which is the legit one.
@HippsieGypsie I just changed the device name in Systems > Settings but it seems to have no effect when viewing the Device name in my Microsoft Account Home page although it may be a day or so before the changes show up.

As a precaution I used the Snipping Tool to note the original device name in System > Settings before renaming it.

I ended up just deleting them all. When returning to the desktop there's a prompt to correct. Easy as pie.

Devices with apps and games you downloaded from the Store
Remove a device if you're trying to install an app or a game on a Windows 10 device and you've reached your device limit.

You can also reach this setting from the MS store, User Icon > Settings
I have one device I can't remove. It was one of the test installs I used in a VM. When I try I get a message that says Try a different url. We don't have anything to show at this link. Try searching for what you want, instead

I'd love to meet the person that has 81 devices or that will be affected by this.

This may cause a slight hiccup for me, but probably not. I use a dummy Microsoft Account for final setup when I do my custom image deployments of 8.1. Instead of using mine, I just use the dummy one that syncs all the Start Screen layouts, apps and updates, and other fun personalization things I don't need to manually do. But I can probably just delete the PCs I already have done from the account. No big deal.

    You're welcome.

When pressing any one of them in OneDrive online it says it cannot connect to it, so I figured it was old and deleted all that stated that. Now my computer name that I changed shows up there.

On my Lumia, but I think there's a link there to contact that division.

Some businesses might be, but I'm sure they would purchase a bundle to side load them.

This is actually a raising of the limit.... the original limit that is.

When Windows 8 was first released, the number was 5. This was too tight, and MS got a lot of feedback on it, so to celebrate the release of Windows 8.1, they changed the number of devices to 81. Now that 10 is being released, they're basically dropping back to the original limit, but raising It to 10 instead of going back to 5.
