I was only able to get it to work by "uninstalling" the feedback app. Couldn't fix it by just a reset. fyi...
In my experience, every system is it's own monster(is different).

Just read anywhere, about installing .Net Framework 3.5 on Windows 10, you'll find many, many different solutions, because the two main ways of doing it(command line & Turn Windows features on), doesn't work on all systems

Interesting. My two PC's have that enabled (via Windows features) as I use a PicKit2 programmer that needs it. Never had an issue with any W10 installation and enabling that. I just get the 'Windows needs to download the required files' message, accept, and its all done and dusted in a couple of minutes. No restart needed either.

There are a couple of threads here in the forums, but one long one(I usually send people to, if nothing else I offer helps) at Microsoft community: How to instal .Net Framework 3.5 on Windows 10 - Microsoft Community

I used to use USB Mobile broadband for my laptop, and needed .Net 3.5, but in the beginning Windows 10 didn't want to install it the normal way, that's how I learned about this. And it was a PITA, thankfully I still had Windows 7 on another partition and could access the net that way to find information, and then copy it to a share data partition.

Relative to my Post #52, the more I tried to figure out what was going on with Cortana, the issue was spreading even into the Search Box at the top of the Settings pages. An Uninstall of the update seems to have solved all but one of the problems, as far as I can tell. Only remaining issue is Cortana's initial Home Page display:

If I can't figure how to make this return to normal, I can live with it.

Question now is, am I going to get this KB4020102 Update again? If not what's the consequences of that?

Windows Update found this CU this morning. Download seemed to appropriate most system resources but when I came back to my laptop after 45 minutes or so, the "restart required" message was displayed. The install/restart process took about 15 minutes. So far everything seems to be working as usual.

Are you waiting for windows update to find it automatically? Or have you tried a manual 'check for updates'?
