TDP is not so bad, should be a great every day CPU. Any idea what the die size is?

The strange thing is that many Lightroom users are finding that using cpus with more than 4 cores slows the program down!! They are turning off the extra cores. It doesn't seem to apply to everyone; my i7 5930K with 6/12 cores works fine with LR, and turning two off just slows things down.
I'm a Lightroom (and Photoshop) user and find no such issue, and do no such thing.

I bet they would cost at a minimum of $1000. They still can't beat Ryzen when it comes to price/performance.

Wow... the chip isn't released, yet we post this as fact

Anyway I'll wait and see what the fuss is all about before getting one. Just think, one of these with optane memory... that performance should be impressive.

Intel didn't drop the prices of their current CPU's much at all, after Ryzen launched,
so It's pretty much a fact already.

Current CPU's like the Core i7 6900K are still around 1000 USD after Ryzen launched
(while it should be around 500 USD to be able to compete with Ryzen 1800X).

So there really is no reason to believe this will change much with these upcoming CPU's either.
