I find statements like this very amusing :)
Reminds me of the old Carry On film joke

    Person 1:
Tried curry once, didn't like it
Tried beer once, didn't like it
Tried golfing once, didn't like it
    Oh, here comes my son.

    Person 2:
    Only child, I take it?.

I tried EDGE several times, was nowhere as robust as Chrome. I "used" it but not for weeks, just a day.

If it is a Compact Mass Storage Device, (not a thumb drive), and it's listed as a Basic Disk in Disk Management, then it may be being 'watched' by Defender, or it has Indexed Locations, or other.
You will need to 'Take it Offline' in Disk Management first by right clicking in the left box area and selecting 'Offline'. (This may 'break' executable or indexing paths!)
Then you will be able to eject it.

It's a WD USB 3 Passport 4TB External HD. Defender is completely OFF.

Now I just noticed that I lost the use of CD/DVD, wouldn't read any disks. It's in Device and disk managers but can't populate it.

I'm sure he meant that he tried it didn't like the setup, and never used it mainstream. It goes without saying that you have to use it to know if you like or dislike it. But personally, I find it clumsy and not intuitive at all. I find several other browsers like Vivaldi, Chrome and FF to be much better options.
But my main point was that it seems that M$ only works on their version of products which are competing with other much better products, when they should be working on the OS working 100%, going on two years after launching it. There are so many OS problems that should take priority, over their working on peripheral items like Edge and People bar. M$ is never going to be the epicenter of social media. And while it's fine to have a team which can work on improving their products for this, it should not come at the expense of their primary product.

Can still get Windows Media Center to work in this Build.
And, the weird thing was, it installed Windows DVD Player automatically!

    Attachment 135923
Well, you are lucky. I don't have DVD Player any longer and if I want it, it is for SALE in the Windows Store for 14.95. Guess I lost it with last clean install I did.
