Slugging my way through upgrading VMs from butild 16188 to 16199. It's slow going but doable.
Just cleaning up a VM which had 22 GB in windows.old. Some upgrades may fail due to lack of disk space. MS should see if they can't reduce the update footprint size - others are complaining obviousluy
Why not bookmark the link Marty - you'll need to sign in with your Microsoft account, and allow your browser to remember the sign in password.
Download Windows 10 Insider Preview ISO
\Windows.old is as big as the stuff you have in the version that you upgraded from that is required to restore the old version. It is down to you. It can be as little as 9 or 10 GB.
Well it was a suggestion for the site. I can find it anytime I want or need. I would be nice if they could ask whether or not you want to revert to the previous build but I guess that's unlikely. I can't remember if I ever reverted back to a previous Insider - I must have sometime.

Just a warning to all Insider who are using Edge. Disable flash in Edge, since last build still comes with an old version from April. (25.0...127)
I'm in the same situation.
I've tried to go back to my 15063.296 Macrium image. But Macrium USB Rescue stick didn't start also after disabling Secure Boot .
After that I've clean installed CU with ISO received direct from MS. The welcome and guidance through the final steps of the installation through Cortana was witty. But I got some glitches: "Show more tiles on Start" and "Show app list in Start menu" and also some shortcuts just pinned to Taskbar didn't work.
Next step of my Odyssey was an inplace installation of the same CU ISO build. I got more and more problems at the end a black sceen with moving mouse pinter only .
Now I've succeded restoring my 15063.296 Macrium image with release preview.
I'll wait some IP builds to reactivate my participation on fast ring. Sorry MS cannot continue with BugBash .
Chris
