Then tried another download of 99. Install froze and I was forced to do hard shutdown and restarted and returned to 93. So much for this build. This machine has been great at downloads but this one won't make it. I have installed with successs two computers, one desktop and one laptop. This desktop, however, is refusing and I give up for now.

Still poking along quite slowly at 33% installing on a new Hyper-V Build 16193 VM. Although I have downloaded uuptoiso I do not expect to get an iso out of this one. In fact I'm not sure the upgrade will complete at all.

I cannot recommend the experience of using the Quick Create feature of the recent Windows 10 Hyper-V program. - at least for creating Windows 10 VMs.

While you can create a Hyper-V Windows 10 VM in 2 steps I have not found a way to specify the location of the VM at least initially. It will be created in the Docullments\Virtual Machines folder on your Onedrive. Then if you wanted to quicky upgrade from say the 16193 iso to the 16199 you will be attempting to sync potentially a very large disk image and hang your physical host as I did - requiring the file to be removed by unlocker after a reboot. My physical disk partition was 100% which mean the virtual drive was actually 25GB although Explorer pegged it at one-tenth that size.

I will probably try Quick Create on say a BSD or Linux VM sometime in the near future. But I will move it out of Onedrive - that's certain. But then again if I do that I may as well just create the VM normally.

I want to mention an annoyance which I at least (and I'd like confirmation here) happens with each new build. I like to rename in File Explorer fixed drives with the label I put on them. So, for example, I will want to name C: Windows 10 Insider Build 16199 which is the label I put on it. However, invariably it gets renamed to Local Drive C: after every update. A minor annoyance but an annoyance nevertheless. Anybody else?

But, on the next try, it finally installed on this desktop.

My People APP on taskbar still doesn't show any signs of life.
