Maybe the reason I don't have DVD Player is that every time I boot into Insider The program has lost my DVD and BRDVD players. I have to rescan for changes for them to be found by this build.

I tried EDGE several times, was nowhere as robust as Chrome. I "used" it but not for weeks, just a day.
It has come a long way since early days. You have not given it a fair crack of the whip.

YES, you are correct. I WILL try it. Should I load EDGE and still have CHROME loaded ????

Edge is always loaded just have to start it. You can use several browsers simultaneously if you want to.

My biggest issue with Edge so far is that a lot of favicons on the bookmark bar don't work. Since I have it set up to just show the favicons, that kind of messes things up for me.

This build is great. No problems yet. Going slightly off topic, Edwin how did you change the icons, font etc.?

Strange. I have not found a single site that does not show favicon in Edge.

I think I've figured out the issue. Favicons seem sporadic on imported bookmarks. If I manually go to the site that I want and bookmark it, then the favicons show up fine. Kind of a PITA, but at least now I know.

I imported favorites from .xml file after clean install of build 16199, all favicons including those shown in favorites bar were directly shown before visiting any of those sites.

Only difference compared to a typical clean install I can think of is that as I always install by deploying a customized, sysprepped image, I have to reset Edge and IE to fix some minor issues caused by a still not fixed bug in Sysprep process. I am doing it by removing folder Users\Default\Appdata\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache before deploying / installing so all new user profiles will get the folder recreated with correct data.

If not doing this, Edge for instance replaces the dot between downloaded file name and extension with underscore (SomeFile_zip instead of SomeFile.zip). This is caused by Sysprep, Microsoft knows about the bug but it has been there for several builds now.

I know this is far fetched and most probably has nothing to do with this favicon issue but this is the only difference I can think of comparing a standard install to my install.

Well, you are lucky. I don't have DVD Player any longer and if I want it, it is for SALE in the Windows Store for 14.95. Guess I lost it with last clean install I did.
VLC Player is way superior anyway!
