The SMB1 flaw eternalblue is not reliant on user rights, it works on standard user accounts

Current chatter points to pirated software as a big part of the problem of non updated systems.

I use the full Malwarebytes Suite and Trend Micro Ultimate (or whatever their best is called.) Aside from that, I also do periodic backups of my system. That right there pretty much mitigates the issues.

The latest release of Malwarebytes 3 Premium anti-malware includes anti-ransomware and anti-exploit so no need to run separately.

I need to run it because I have no money to buy the premium version.

Which is best, Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware, Bitdefender Anti-Ransomware Tool, or RansomFree by Cybereason? It is hard for me to make a decision.

Whichever you use don't put much faith in them and keep vigilance like they don't exist. Human mind is still much better than AI.
