Ransomware attacks reported on Windows machines internationally

The SMB1 flaw eternalblue is not reliant on user rights, it works on standard user accounts

Current chatter points to pirated software as a big part of the problem of non updated systems.

I use the full Malwarebytes Suite and Trend Micro Ultimate (or whatever their best is called.) Aside from that, I also do periodic backups of my system. That right there pretty much mitigates the issues.

Whichever you use don't put much faith in them and keep vigilance like they don't exist. Human mind is still much better than AI.
