Well, glad they did. But ya gotta wonder why they didn't do this all along? At least the dl is fast. Thanks.

They do this because some Insiders are unable to update their build thru Windows Update for various reasons, and there is a timeout on older builds because the new feature build has arrived. It allows Insiders to get back on track.

Yeah, my lappy won't update. The darn 0x8007002 blah blah error. Now I've got two broken systems.

Thanks, Kari, but while I appreciate your UUPtoISO method, I really don't have time to make ISOs.

Had trouble getting Build 16179 installed so downloaded the .iso for Build 16193, installed clean in about 2 hours including adjusting various features such as display and mouse, etc.

16193 installed without difficulty through WU on top of 16188, and then later through a repair reinstall using the Microsoft iso installed on top of the WU 16193. I was hoping the repair reinstall might address a problem I'm having (along with some other people posting on the AMD driver forums) with my Radeon RX-480 8GB card and Virtual Super Resolutions starting with 3200x1800 and up (it didn't)--for some reason, as of 16193 (and some are reporting the problem started with the latest cumulative for the CU), no VSR's are available anymore from within my games--but the weird thing is that for the Windows desktop GUI the VSR resolutions are all available and functioning. Go figure.

The following screen grab shows my available virtual super resolutions on the Windows desktop--as you can see, my native monitor resolution is 2560x1440. When the system is working correctly, all these resolutions above my native res are also available from the resolution options in my games--except in the latest builds of Win10, that is...Both AMD and Microsoft are aware of the problem although neither has commented yet...

WaltC, My Radeon RX480 8GB has a resolution of 3840 x 2160 and looks like it does with Win 10 Release. Sorry you have problems. Is your driver from AMD or WU?

It was timely for MS to release an .iso for this version. I had to do a cold install to get rid of the malware that was preventing me from updating Windows. The .iso and Windows 7 USB DVD tool worked well. I am getting well used to reinstalling Windows 10 as I stepped into a really bad torrent download that was immune to every tool I could throw at it and it took me 3 cold installs to obliterate it (along with scans of all my drives with MalWareBytes). My backups saved me.
