First thing I did after installing Microsoft latest cumulative Update KB4016871 was to run DISM command line in order to see if the problem with regard to error: 0x800f081f has been fixed. Still no joy. See screenshot below:
By the way, the update installed without a glitch on both of my PCs. I am sure that Microsoft is well aware of the problem because about a week or so ago, I went to their Feedback Hub and upvoted for the aforementioned error to be fixed. I also made sure to put my own note.
All installed OK, left for 30 minutes to sort itself out and then disk clean run. 600Mb reclaimed (x86).
I wonder if:
will go some way to fixing the odd site access issues I've reported previously.Addressed an issue where Microsoft Edge users in networking environments that do not fully support the TCP Fast Open standard may have problems connecting to some websites. Users can re-enable TCP Fast Open in about:flags.
From looking at the forum threads, it appears that there are 2 Win-10 updates for May 9th? The one being discussed in this thread, is downloading on my PC right now.
Will another one follow?
How come the list of fixes has been shortened. I rebooted for the update and when I came back to the forum, it's like half the list has gone.
