I've wondered why folks just don't use outlook.com through their choice of browser as opposed to the Outlook email application...? I've got outlook.com and gmail email accounts and I never touch a stand-alone email reader. Both work splendidly through Ff x64 DE. Just sort of seems passe' to me these days...
Because I have Office 365 2016? And have had Office in one form or another since around 2000. That's pretty much my reasoning, not considering the fact that Outlook.com never did work for me, nor has the new Mail app. All my email addresses work in Outlook 2016 . . . I've recently abandoned my Gmail account, since I had it for a specific reason and don't need it any more.
Advantages--for spammers, maybe--to using a stand-alone email app? Just curious. I used to use Mozilla's stand-alone app--"Thunderchicken"? or something...
Just haven't done so in a long time. I mean browser and .pdf integration with Office doesn't require anything special, either, imo. Just thought I'd ask and maybe I'll learn something new...
I guess the advantage for me is that I can read all my email in one place. Outlook is convenient and I know how to use it.

Josey, it is ok to rant. I hope you reported these issues -- even if you reported them in previous builds. MS needs to know these are still problems that are not resolved.
I did this time as well as last build. For now I am done with Insider Builds.

Everything went smoothly for me, Josey. I'm up and running and don't even have the problem with Outlook 2016 others are having. I just sent an email and it went flying off to the recipient. I receive a large number of emails every day and so far, no problems.

All good here, except for my rant about what they set back to default!
For instance:
Why do my custom reg tweaks for right click context menu stay, while @Brink's 'Personalization (classic)' gets the ax?
I don't get it!

Try changing what you show in the lock screen and see if that works. It does not for me an WOT.

I reported this like 5 times in the last build and again today. They want to do away with the CP.. LOL

I did create a Generation 2 Hyper-V VM of Build 16188. The performance is great since it was created on the SSD. Too bad it created it in the Onedrive Folder. It's now time to start upgrading the VMs.

Marty, where did you tell it to create it?

It is a new Hyper-V action "Quick Create". It does not let you specify a location and furthermore will only create Gen 2 machines. I can and probably will play with Import/Export to move it to the HDD which contains all my VMs (HyperV for Windows 10 and VMware and Virtualbox for Windows Server 2016. I have an identical drive where I house my Linux VMs. This is exclusively for Linux version of Virtualbox as there is no way developers will get VMware WS running (i.e. compiling) on openSUSE Tumbleweed - especially since I just upgraded to the latest Linux kernel 4.11. I do believe I may experiment with Ubuntu 17.10 (Artful Aadvark) which is only on kernel 10.
