Just to be clear.. I'm not judging.. just my opinion... in the way I would do things.

I, personally, have lost trust .. seems to be more about "eye-candy" than nuts-'n-bolts stuff.. but hey, whatever rocks your boat.

Looks like Outlook is still broken in this build, still locking up when trying to send and recieve emails.

I agree totally Superfly. an example is when they introduced Paint 3D. I'm sure that 99% of users will never bother with it. Give me a perfectly working OS that I can run 3rd party apps of my choice on and I'm a happy Windows user :)

I've personally got the odd DCOM error showing up in every build of Windows 10. They can easily be fixed but as they don't seem to cause any problems I just ignore them until a new build comes out and they get replaced by a different DCOM error :)
I understand you and I agree. Something got into me this time, though: I dreamed of a clean Event Viewer! And since DCOM 10016 was the ONLY error appearing in there, I dared to dream I could get rid of it! After losing the battle, I'm now back into my place...

That dream I totally share. I achieved it with the AU Edition, no problem at all but the second AU Edition is a bit err.... funky.

I also adhere to the philospy to first fix the broken bits then add new things. No good to build a home on a swamp, right ?

Yup... things have changed a lot at MS....
Here's a simple eg. ok? when I did my MCSD back then we were taught certain principles.. even stupid stuff like how buttons are positioned etc... none of that is even adhered to now ..it's all outsourced

I've wondered why folks just don't use outlook.com through their choice of browser as opposed to the Outlook email application...? I've got outlook.com and gmail email accounts and I never touch a stand-alone email reader. Both work splendidly through Ff x64 DE. Just sort of seems passe' to me these days...;)

Advantages--for spammers, maybe--to using a stand-alone email app? Just curious. I used to use Mozilla's stand-alone app--"Thunderchicken"? or something...;) Just haven't done so in a long time. I mean browser and .pdf integration with Office doesn't require anything special, either, imo. Just thought I'd ask and maybe I'll learn something new...;)

Yes, at some point Microsoft is going to have to freeze "feature creep" and concentrate on extant bugs or else it's simply going to worsen with time, imo. No question about it.
