    Images should keep it.
I would think, once you purchase the DVD player from the store, you would be able to reinstall it at any time.

Here's a link that supposedly will answer many questions about the upgrade. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windo...serve_mod1_faq I just got the same email as Count Mike. I have upgraded 4 of my computers. I just wanted to wait on the others for the GWX App to see the differences.
I don't know what the problem is, but a whole lot of links to Windows stuff all have 404 errors.

For lack of a better reason, maybe server overload.

It installed automatically for me on this PC. I don't see it listed in the Store under my Apps Library though?

I upgraded 4 computers yesterday. What was strange is some installed with the DVD player and some didn't. I used the same USB drive for all of them and all were Windows 7 which does have Media Center.

I don't understand why the link won't work. I can click it and have no problems. it works for some but not for most, it seems.
When I installed Windows 10 on my Windows 8.1 Pro laptop with Media Center installed, Win 10 notified me that the App was incompatible and removed it. It wasn't a big deal to me because it was mentioned previously in the forums that Microsoft was removing it under 10.

Remember for Windows 8/8.1, Media Center was an optional add-on that you either got for free (I did) when you upgraded to 8 within the first 30 days of release, or you had to purchase it through the Windows Store. Which leads to another question... if I purchased the App, and now Win 10 is dumping it, do you get your money back or a store credit? To me you should, but...

I scored 4 free Media center product codes when Microsoft was offering it free for a limited time. I had to install it through Add Features by typing in the product code. It never showed up in the store as an App for me?
