I am now doing the clean install using .iso created earlier today over Build 10240. I hope Install goes smooth and activates.

Mind to check your product keys with showkey?
Looks to be the 3V66T generic key on this PC. Same key on my other desktop that I upgraded 10240 on.

You get the option to keep files and applications, saying no to that may get you close to a clean install? I answered yes as I wanted to keep all my installed Apps and programs. I haven't checked my Product keys with showkey yet? I wasn't prompted to write one down or asked to enter one during the upgrade.
How did things go with the applications and files you kept? I have loads of apps in Windows 8.1 and this is my big concern about upgrading. The upgrade info says 0 app problems. But . . . seems like I've heard that before too. Going from 7 to 8 created loss of programs.

No gotchas that I've detected so far. I haven't fired up any of my games etc. Outlook still works. I'm just sorting things out and uninstalling the junk preinstalled apps. The ones it will let me anyway.

I did the upgrade also and did not lose anything at all. When you see this, it will keep everything.

Is there a French ISO of the "RTM" yet? Home & Pro if possible and posted by MS?

Don't need keys. Just want the install discs.

Use this tool to D/L the ISO.
It will ask you what version you want and what language also.
There is 32 and 64 bit.
