    Here's a method that works:

Enable 'Use check boxes...' in File Explorer Options

    Attachment 26047

    then:

    Attachment 26048

    and:

    Attachment 26049

then check the selection box to reveal options above:

    Attachment 26050
Nope, same old story even after reboot.

There is no reason to guess on this. It's very clearly spelled out in the EULA. This is official legally binding license.

You can read it yourself, open a command prompt and type Winver, then click the link on the dialog labeled "Microsoft Software License Terms" to read the license terms. Scroll to Section 4.
There it is, in black and white (and some red). That being the case, I wonder why MS has been saying 'for the life of the device'. Maybe they felt it was too complicated to talk about OEM vs. retail licenses and all that...

I'm stuck at a black screen with just a mouse cursor now. No tiles, no taskbar, just did a NVidia driver update and I believe one other update via Windows update. Mouse clicks of keyboard presses do nothing. I can move the cursor around but that's it. Pressing the power button to get it to shut down also does nothing. Hard drive light is flashing so I'll just let it run for a while and see if it recovers. Otherwise I'll have to force a shutdown.

I had to force a restart. The modern UI took forever to load, had no tiles and clicking The Start button did nothing for at least 2 minutes. Windows update shows up to date, but update history shows NVidia driver update failed. Looks like the other update was just a defender update.

Got a update yesterday. Intel Corporation driver update for Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600. Did really goofy things! Screen went all Kaleidoscope Haight Ashbury. Hard reboot (power off, drain capacitors) made it happy.

Now I'm wondering if it will try to install that failed update again? If I manually run Windows update it just reports, all up to date? Update history shows it failed? I'm just going to leave it be for now. It would really suck for Windows 10 to crash and burn now.

Or, you need to rethink being a Windows Insider. The whole point of the Insider program is for us to be "guinea pigs" and get these updates first to make sure things don't break, but that also means we as Insiders will see these problems, but the non-insiders won't because we will have already taken the bullet for them.
No, I don't. I can take it. I've been testing and submitting pieces of feedback to Microsoft (over 200) since January.

And there's no need to suggest that if an update causes problems, we should not express our disbelief taking into account the closeness to July 29.

Moreover, if you really think that something like this will never happen to non-Insider's, well... Then you haven't been paying too much attention over the last months and how Microsoft has released updates and messed up a lot of systems on Windows 8.1 or previous versions.

    So, suit yourself.

I don't know if there are any advantages, I have always used AVG for as long as I can remember.
