Windows 10: Preparing to Upgrade One Billion Devices ...

Pick nits if you must, today is 26 July, launch date is 29 July. OEMs, retailers, and eco-system partners (what ever they are) have the build. So do we, but for us bits must be flipped.

Maybe that's how the millions of Insiders will be updrated - from their own Preview installs with bit flipping when applied to a qualifying OS.
    That would be BRILLIANT!
This is what I've been suggesting all along - on the 29th, Insiders receive an update with some secret sauce in it that simply converts the Preview to Release, at your discretion of course.

I think that's one you'd have to ask MS - they do have forums with official folks participating. Frankly, I've become less than totally confident in my understanding of the whole situation.
Same to me here! Best thing is wait and see!

Agreed - maybe OEM license agreements will mutate and eventually disappear.
The thing is though, for OEM installs (that are heavily modified and customized by the OEM), you call the OEM if you have issues. Microsoft can't deal with those issues on modified systems with custom modes etc. Buy a Retail off the shelf version and you call Microsoft for issues. Buy an OEM system builder edition and you are your own tech support. There is more to it than the transferable, non transferable issue.

I've left several messages for Kreskin, but for some reason he won't return my calls. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. :)

Insider Hub and Onedrive working fine for me after the latest updates.
Okay, after rebooting a couple of times Insider Hub works again on my system, too. What about that problem with the Network, do you have that one?

I never use WiFi on my desktop computer, either. I use an Ethernet connection. Have you read about this issue few posts above?

I don't have WiFi either and it still does same thing on wired too.
