One thing I noticed, these last three are Software Dist. updates not just Services Packs.

    Now, I am really confused.

I thought windows 7 retail upgrade to windows 10. That windows 10 would still be transferable to another system. I think it was @Wynona or @Mystere that said the transferable right still remain. Microsoft just released the EULA recently.

If not, I need to know because I may not be upgrading my system correctly.

I have two options to upgrade
    Windows 7 Oem_Slp to windows 10 or
Windows 7 Retail to windows 10
Wasn't me, Groze. It's been my understanding that once I upgrade this computer to Windows 10, the license is no longer transferable even if I upgrade from a Retail version.

I'd be happy to be proven wrong, though. :)

I've tried it just now and it doesn't work on my system, either. I right-click on the Network icon (task bar), Open Network and Sharing Center. It opens and then "Change Adapter Settings". It opens "Network Connections" and when I right-click on the "Ethernet" and select Properties, all windows close.
Just tried that here and it did what yours did. Wonder what is wrong there, then,

OEM = Life of device ...
Except under the laws of Germany - OEM licenses can be transferred the same as Retail.

And that's how it should be.

Thanks for reporting this here guys, and I suggest you to report it at Windows Feedback, as well. By the way, when I said above that "the windows close" I meant the Network windows not my browser or other programs that I have open. To be as precise as I possibly can: any command from the following menu causes the respective windows to close and nothing is happening.

Finally, the recent Hotfixes or Updates have not fixed the blurriness issue I'm always having on some Windows components - neither am I expecting this to get fixed any time soon.

My complete list of Hotfixes, so far:

If I can't transfers windows 10 upgraded from my windows 7 retail and it doesn't retain the transferable right. I might as well just upgrade the windows 7 oem version and keep windows 7 retail in another partition instead of the other way around.

This seems to say it differently.

I currently use Windows 8.1 retail version and am very - Microsoft Community

Groze, I do not claim to have perfect knowledge of the situation - all I'm saying is that MS has been very careful throughout to say that the upgraded license is good for the life of the device. That implies to me that it is not transferable. Believe me, I would be delighted to be proved wrong! :)

Another mystery update, it's not labeled Security and can't find what it's about. Went thru without a hitch. Did anybody notice how fast defender updates are coming, maybe even 5 times a day ?
I'm not always connected so I usually only get one or two defender updates.

What is more disconcerting is the frequency of security updates. Some might see this as a good thang, that MS is on top of the holes. The other side of the coin is that the release is a sieve the same way XP had loose security.

I'm glad that MS is finding the breaches and patching the holes, but today is 26 July. Is this the cadence we should expect with a production release?

I know one of the patches is for Flash, but that was discovered a week or two ago. Not very Agile.
