When right clicking network icon to change adapter settings not working anymore. The window opens but when trying to disable/enable adapters the screen just flashes and nothing happens. Have to go device manager to effect changes. Anybody else experiencing this? This happened after yesterdays updates.
I've tried it just now and it doesn't work on my system, either. I right-click on the Network icon (task bar), Open Network and Sharing Center. It opens and then "Change Adapter Settings". It opens "Network Connections" and when I right-click on the "Ethernet" and select Properties, all windows close.

It's practically axiomatic, manufacturers have to get it well in advance of the date OS has to start selling on, it takes time to provide OS on their devices.
Yes. Correct. I was referring to the reference to knowledge of RTM to Manufacturers.

I think the transferable not transferable is another wait and see deal. Read the EULA and anything else while doing the free upgrade very carefully. I think its going to be non transferable even if you get Retail. They can easily add an extra condition to this free offer. AKA life of the device, not transferable. Just my 2 cents. You can second guess it all you want but I don't think you'll get definite proof one way or the other until the 29th.

what you just described does work on my system; when I click on Ethernet, it takes me to the same settings as in 8.1 and allows me to view/change network settings. Strange how different systems with differing components work!
