Downloading as I type. I don't plan to do a clean install so this may be a good test to see 10240 upgrade from Windows 8.1 Pro. If things go wrong at least my backup drive is current now.
I did the upgrade to 10240 from Windows 8.1 Pro using an ISO, and it went very smoothly, all activated and whatnot. As we get near the end, I wanted to be sure to have the Preview upgraded from a properly licensed retail Windows 8.1 installation. I had done so may upgrades and clean installs, I couldn't really remember how I got to my 10166 installation

I think I've learned something from this experience! I am not sure how correct this is, but you have to use the OS for at least 24 hours to get upgraded. So if you'll just install the TP and then go and use your Windows 7 or any other OS you use in a Dual boot setup, it might not upgrade. Just my 2c, I might be wrong.

    :)
Now, I found this a little different for me. When you turn off the computer or boot into another system the day the updates are released. The updates won't show that day but the next day it will show the updates and you can update.

I have done a clean install of a build, then updated immediately. Did not have to wait a day

There were problems installing some updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help:

I'm the Admin for my Machine
I'm logged in via my Microsoft account
    I've tried

    Reset.cmd - Admin fix

    Among about 5-6 other tips.

I'm sure this is a stupid question, but did you verify the account in the account option? That seems to be a common theme with stuff that doesn't initially work right when I'm doing things.

Right-click the little cloud icon in the notification area and select 'manage storage' and you'll find out everything you need to know about your OneDrive storage.
    Thanks for that tip. :)

I've looked in the account area and it seems like I have. Any suggestions where else to look to be sure.

When I right click on my One Drive, I do not get anything that says "Manage Storage."
