The option is available in Settings, click Advanced, click on Stop insider builds.
If you have had a legitimate update, you will then be transferred to W10 outsider.
I wouldn't do that until after you update on (or after) the 29th.

    Has anyone tried that?

I would think if you did that on anything other than the official build on the 29th, your activation will time out for that Preview build. I'm assuming 10240 isn't the RTM build, it could be but I wouldn't count on it.

Yeah... We will figure out this and many other concerns when time is due.

    So, stay patient...

There are a lot of questions being asked that don't have answers too, not yet anyway. Add all the "this is what I think it means" comments into the mix and it gets pretty confusing.

Why Enterprise? You do know its excluded from the free upgrade offer, right?

“I want to opt out of the Windows Insider Program on 7/29.” If you decide to opt-out of the program and upgrade to the 7/29 build you will be subject to exactly the same terms and conditions that govern the offer* that was extended to all Genuine Windows 7 and 8.1 customers. This is not a path to attain a license for Windows XP or Windows Vista systems. If your system upgraded from a Genuine Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 license it will remain activated, but if not, you will be required to roll back to your previous OS version or acquire a new Windows 10 license. If you do not roll back or acquire a new license the build will eventually expire."

that is extremely clear! this is exactly what we have been saying. and i haven't seen anything afterwards to refute it.

Why Enterprise? Because businesses use it and would like to test W10 for their businesses.

WightWalker, I have the same problem. Have not found an answer yet. But I think it has to do with no KMS server to activate to.
