This is still a beta build OS not confirmed as a RTM yet. If you upgrade over Win 7, when final release is out, you will still need to reinstall Win 7 to upgrade. Better to install to a different drive.
Better to install to a different drive.
or dual boot separate primary hdd partition on the same drive I did that here back in Feb and have been usuing W 10 as the daily driver on a 100GB partition and using the host drive Win 7 x64 partitian for a storage drive via the fuiole exp directory tree it works fine aside from a few programs that needed to be installed in win 10 .
Win 10 installs a windows dual boot loader option at start up when you do that and tell it to happen like that .

You need to be in really active thread to see it.

To get the free upgrade you have to upgrade from a genuine Windows 7 SP1 or Windows 8.1 install to the preview or the final release. If you clean install the preview you won't be fully licensed when you upgrade to the finale release. Activation will time out.
that's what I've done mate, from win 7 genuine
i had an option to test enterprise which
now I regret that, as its not going to be free
Is it the professional or Home that is free?
    a mess

In my experience - When testing an OS, keep clear of Enterprise (it's something you can't have at the end) and try to keep the the US_EN version for the best results.

I'm really curious as to why my build 10166 has not been able to see this 10240 update. I am activated, I am not on a VM, I have a MSA account with Insiders, and my registry settings is at that TH1 settings that was posted in this forum among others.

I haven't had this problem with the other Impressive builds, but now I have a problem lol..

You guys who have this build 10240 are lucky! I wish I knew what was wrong. Of course it figures my Feedback App is broken so I cannot send feedback on this!

Already found an issue, although minor; The Edge icon on the Quick Access bar turns into a blank folder icon. Removing it and placing it back doesn't help.

Edited: Also noticed that the live tiles in Start are more lively, turning over more often. :)

Downloaded and installed here ... but then it rolled back and left me on 10166!

Downloading all over again now ... sigh!
