    When I dropped out of the insider program, Windows required an immediate restart. After the restart there was a new license agreement, then it downloaded some stuff and it required another restart. After all of that I have a unique product key which I have recorded and I am now not an insider, but I am running Windows 10. Go figure.
    @Rocky

    You have to drop out the insiders first then you get a new key?

    My test may not work.

    That's what I wanted to know thanks. Right now I have a common key, if I drop out and get a new key that makes sense. That's what I would want to happen. I'd want my own unique key for that PC. I'm still waiting till the 29th though. Maybe this is the RTM after all?
    There is a lot of mystery still surrounding this issue, but I do know one thing absolutely for sure: I am waiting until the 29th

    Interesting... This is what Gabe has said all along - first time I come across a practical example...

    I did a clean install on a separate SSD after upgrading Win8.1 Pro on my HDD - hoping to get a new key, but nada.

    Do you mind downloading and posting a WDT screenshot like mine (NB: click on the key to mask it) - I'd like to check that you have 'the old type of activation (code 0x0) as opposed to mine.

    If I do that, will it have private information on it? I posted a screenshot yesterday that I had to delete because it had my new license info included.

    OK, I just did that and I can't post the results because it contains my unique Windows 10 product key.

    In WDT " Click on the key to mask it"
    Sorry, we are curious! Rocky, how about posting your new EULA as well - that will contain no Personal information!
    Make sure it contains the EULAID: which appears at the end.

    Thanx... however, it appears to be the key in the link in my original post a few pages back (unless by some strange coincidence the first and last 5 characters are the same.)

    Still has store activation as well.

    (Darn, means rewriting WDT's diagnostic report... unless things change come GA - fingers crossed)

    Mine also shows 8HVX7 as the last five digits and I haven't left the insider program yet.
