Hi Rocky, just to satisfy my own curiosity, and that of others, please check this page ... and confirm that your key is indeed unique.

Upgrade activation (at present) is not key based but the existing licence transferred to a store licence (which is hardware, rather than the normal MSA based).

I totally agree,,, I don't see MS changing how they allow activation of the OS.

https://account.microsoft.com/devices Will show you your installed Windows 10 devices. It may not be fully accurate, and will show both activated and unactivated installs. It may even show installs that you have performed and deleted - what it does show is that Microsoft has version and Machine information on their database, together with your MSA - if your MSA is not on their DB, they know that the Install is outside the Insider program. All of these installations, except those that have been done offline, and remain offline will be checked by activation servers periodically, and their license status will become notification.

For those of you that opted out, did your product code change when you did that?

I removed them from the devices list. Thinking back, it may have been a tower somebody gave me a while back that I played around with. It showed build 100041. All that's left now in my laptop, which isn't running the preview anymore and my other desktop PC that is. I may remove the laptop too.

I feel the same! Why would I abdicate of a program that gives the newest technologies for free just for my humble feedback. I have been using W10 as my secondary production environment since build 9926 (the first really stable build IMO), and with build 10240 W10 has become my main production system. All the softwares I need work just fine, including my scientific programs and all my preferred games; also legacy hardware is working too. I simply can't complain? I know that some people are having harder experiences with W10, but for me it's just great!

I'm thinking we may all get a free copy of Home, then pay to upgrade.

Right now it says $99, but I am waiting for a sale.
