So everybody is going to use the same Windows 10 product code after the 29th?
far as I know it goes by your hardware id once activated it stores to MS servers so you can clean install after the upgrade

I just don't see why leave insider program intentionally if not forced to, just quit participating and that's it. May change your mind later on but be SOL. Who knows what it can be useful for, maybe bunch of freebies, be first kid on the block with something new and exciting etc.
I don't think I will leave insider program as long as it's active even if I have to skip upgrading 8.1 if it's mandatory to quit IP.
It really comes down to what each person wants to do. You might not want to leaver but others might.. like me. I just want to use Win10 and I don't want to keep testing an OS. While it was fun it's not a thing I want to do full time.

    But, YMMV..

yes I have done clean install on RTM after upgrading and it still permanently activated long as you upgrade first you can clean install use product key in first post here
Did clean install from ISO created from install.esd from WU (Kari's tut). Recorded the current product key before I clean installed. Matched the one in first post here. Right up front at the get-go, it asks for Prod Key. Entered it and all went very smoothly. First time I went to Windows Update, it asked if I wanted to "get started" in insider program. Just entered the MS acct I've always used and it was happy. Went right back to Fast track and is running really nice!

Everybody's not going to be using that one key though? If they do that they can't block that key without blocking everybody. They aren't going to put the world on a VL key? There is still one more build or step to do on or after the 29th, IMHO.

I am the one that dropped out of the insider program, and I have already had a unique product code for a couple of weeks.

I have zero interest in continuing to test Win10.. I just want to use it like I did with the pervious OS's. It's what I want to do and that's my decision.
