I don't think I will leave insider program as long as it's active even if I have to skip upgrading 8.1 if it's mandatory to quit IP.
i agree totally. this has been a great experience, and i just can't see a downside to staying with the program. in fact, i can see many, many benefits in staying with the program. the best of everything.

If it's RTM why do I have the same Product Code as several other forum members? IMHO, that shouldn't be if it is RTM.

Could you type this in administrative command prompt and see if the dialog that popsup displays an expiration date? This will answer if it is an RTM version or something else.

    Code:
    slmgr /dlv
Mine shows no expiration date and I'm still in the Insiders program. I don't think that will tell you anything. Build 10240 has no watermark and no expiration date. No Pre-Release connotation either. But its still using common product codes. I have the same Product code as others here and I've seen my code posted on the internet. I'll be waiting until the 29th to see if I get a new key that is unique to me.

It might be RTM, but its not the Official RTM until Microsoft says it is. Not to me anyway. I don't see the harm in waiting. What did opting out change for you? What advantage is there to doing it now versus latter?

Say what? I have no idea what that means?

So now that you've opted out, how do you do a clean install and what product code do you enter?
