    At last!!! Yeeeeesssss!!!

I think I've learned something from this experience! I am not sure how correct this is, but you have to use the OS for at least 24 hours to get upgraded. So if you'll just install the TP and then go and use your Windows 7 or any other OS you use in a Dual boot setup, it might not upgrade. Just my 2c, I might be wrong.

Joanne you may be on to something with your hypothesis of up to a 24 Hour wait to receive a build update. I had similar troubles as you and others waiting for new builds 10162 & 10240 to arrive when checking Windows Update. I had checked numerous times that I was signed in with a verified MSA account, on "Fast Ring" & Set to receive "Insider Builds" and still no update after 12+ Hours waiting for build 10162. I even tried other things such as using "System Restore" and restarting "Windows Update" to no avail.

What finally worked like a charm to receive the newest build instantly was restoring the current Windows 10 build that would not update from an earlier Macrium Image made when that build was "New" and it was created at least 2 or 3+ days prior.

I use both Macrium Reflect v6 and AOMEI Backupper to create my images and I am using the Free Edition of both. It took maybe 10 mins or less to create an image & maybe 10 to 15 mins to restore a particular image using a created Win PE disk.

Thanks for the tip sgage the main point of my post just above yours is that you can restore a build from a created image that is older than 24 hours (10 + mins) YMMV and after restoring that image you should receive the new build instantly. This method sure beats waiting 24+ hours for the new build.

Or just shutdown the computer when you are done for the day and turn it back on the next day and your updates should be there. That the way it worked for me.

One time I had a build that would not show up, I changed my network settings from public to private and it was there the next time I checked for updates.

Pleased that you have finally succeeded.
I agree with your dual boot conclusion, I found it messed up the MBR on both W8.1 and W10 on each Upgrade even though they were on separate SSD,s.
Solved as posted earlier in this thread by hot fixing. ie- one in one out.
i think that is because you should be on an uefi partition and not an mbr. if you are not trying to hold on to windows 7, you definitely want to reformat your partitions to uefi. there are many benefits to this, such as being able to use secure boot, and fast boot.

For some reasons, he just don't have icon supposed to be there. Unfortunately, Win 10 remove how we can customize option there and Notification Area Icons is not in Control Penal anymore. No way to turn it back!

Anyone knows how to enter Notification Area Icons?
go to settings/system/notifications and actions/select which icons appear on taskbar/turn on "always show all icons in notification area, or just turn on the one drive icon about the tenth one down in this snipit.
