My biggest problem on launch day is somehow converting all my EXTRA licenses into valid Win10 licenses. Since I had Technet back in the day, I have 12 Win 7 licenses (I wonder what happens to Win 7 Home Premium licenses?), 5 Windows 8 licenses (if you count the N versions), and 4 copies of Win8.1 ( 2 Ns and two Pros). I also have a few computers that are using the same license number since Technet licenses let me activate up to 10 computers. I really need only 3 Pro licenses any more out of all of these, but the more I get, the better.
I have got a feeling that I will be installing and upgrading a strictly bare bones OS then doing the upgrade to Win 10, grabbing the Win10 license number, and do it all over again for all of of these old licenses. That might include going from Win 8 to win 8.1 THEN upgrading to Win10 . Geez.
Rumor has it your Windows 10 product code will be tied to the PC it activates on. If so, doing repeated clean installs and upgrades to 10 on the same PC may end up being a waist of time. If kind of sounds like that's what you were planning. How many PC's do you have?

I bet the reason why the downloads went so fast is that MS is getting ready for launch day and adding a TON of servers and sending copies to your ISP (a lot of MS downloads are actually done from a cache located at your ISP hubs). The size is only 0.1GB smaller than the last couple of builds.
Think about how hard MS download servers are going to be hit on launch day!
Mine downloaded in 3 minutes, I nearly ended up with a nose bleed, I thought it must have been a patch rather than the full upgrade.

If that is so, we are right back to the issue that used to crop up where I would upgrade something in my computer and have to call India to reactivate the damn thing. That would be a real pain. That is what retail licenses were for in the first place, so we could avoid that crap!

As far as computers presently running, I have 3 in the house, one with my son in University, and might do a Skylake build in the future. The nice thing is that all my upgrades leave parts to upgrade my sons computers, then my nephew, then my friend. By that time, it is ready to be recycled.

I ended up downloading the ISO (converted from ESD) from a confident source. If until tomorrow I don't get the update I'll clean install it.

    ~edit~

    It's showing up... Finally !!!
