    All in all, Start & integrated Cortana makes the use of Windows 10 really easy.
    Yeah it just takes a bit of getting used to, especially having gotten use to 8, and now we almost have a reversal with 10. But I do like 10's Start Menu. That's me.

    @Kari

    In many cases, you don't need to invoke Start>Run> executable
    For instance > n > enter will open notepad

    If I may add > I like Cortana for some features and I think it'll be improved over time such as on the phone, but at this time search in 8.1 is better. More choices of where to search. It opens results in it own WinRt screen saved to reference to if need be, whereas Cortana opens an Edge page or tab then when pressing a result there one loses the original result page.

    BTW, Alpha, did you see I'm now duo monitoring? Not that I know it all that well in 8.1 yet for I just started, but it seems like its better in 10. What are your thoughts?

    All in all it's like Kari just stated, it's free, but free doesn't necessarily make it better. 10 does have some good features we'll never see in 8.1, though. Kind of a tradeoff for me at this time.

    Missed this post some how, until it was quoted. Windows 10 handles Modern Apps better on dual (triple for me) monitors than 8.1 does. One reason why I'm running 10. Modern Apps now remember what screen they were last opened on, like desktop programs do. Now I can click the icon on my main center display and the Weather app opens on my left screen without having to move it. Slacker Radio too. In the past I would have to duplicate all my taskbar icons on each monitor so I could open an App on a particular monitor with one click. Now I have it set show only the Icon for apps/programs open on that monitor.

    Seriously, we all navigate differently. No shame in any way one does.
    Beware, I have not only a mouse but two cats too. I'm just too bad typist, have to look at keyboard and type with two and half fingers, it's never been my forte although I could use typewriter before I could write. Besides, with my memory, I have to think too hard to remember shortcuts, those few that I remember I use only when my fingers are on the keyboard and mouse far away.

    Apparently things got a little too personal for some and some posts were deleted. I personally don't see the reason why but apparently we have to edit what we say as not to offend others, even if such posts aren't offensive

    The mods/admins want to keep this site as professional as possible and that's likely why the purged the posts. Heck.. it is their place and they can do as they like.
