I think that was it Wynona. I had to forfeit my local account, and it says that its still not "activated" in "This PC" properties. But it's fully working now. And it does say that I'm set to receive Insider Builds.
Using Edge for the first time. I didn't realize it was a metro app. I think I prefer IE11.
You realize being activated and being in the Insiders program are two exclusively different things. Being activated generally comes from upgrading to Windows 10 from an activated Windows 7 SP1 or an activated Windows 8.1 or buying Windows 10 new and by being an activated Insider before build 10240 was sent through Windows Update. I know that it can be terribly confusing. Becoming an Insider on an inactivated system is not going to make it activate.
Jody,
you do not need to be PERMENANTLY MS logged in, to activate TP W10
Local account can be you used afterwards, my preview OS ONLY needed to be activated once, way back.
The annoyance comes when you start switching between the two, fair enough you have to re-input your passwords
BUT
You have to VERIFY again, which sends a code to your "secondary device", in my case my phone
confirm secondary device>recieve ANOTHER authorisation code, because your last one doesn't work "SIGH", had at least half a dozen so far.
And if you use the pin sign in message it doesn't work, until you shutdown and restart,
NOT sure about the require password on wake mines dissabled dont use sleep/hibernation.
Note i've also noted that if your signed in Local and you visit this forum(via Palemoon), you have to log in again, not neccessary with MS account.
