    I thought Insiders won't get update because we are already on Build 240. I just download MS Windows 10 tool that created .iso to fresh Install Windows 10. I just checked Windows C:\ Drive I have $Windows BT Folder and $Windows WS (5.79GB). Whats going on here. I don't know what to do. Is this supposed to do anything? Shall I install fresh Windows 10 from ISO I created. I was checking yesterday didn't have that folder at all. I have been insider since build 133.

    First off, Ronaldo, although we're on the final version of Windows 10 with Build 10240, the $Windows BT folder is there as a matter of course and and although similar, has nothing to do with the upgrade from Windows 7 or 8.1. Within that folder you can drill down to the "Install.ESD" file that's used to create an ISO in order to do a clean install of Windows 10.

    So, not to worry; it's there and doesn't eat much.

    Unless you want and need to clean install Windows 10, I wouldn't worry about it.

    Of course, I always do a clean install simply because an upgrade from one OS to another can (but not necessarily) bring along nasties that may be lurking in the old OS.

    @computic:

    You must do the upgrade first from the 7 SP1 or 8.1 first. DONE!

    You can not do a clean install first. OKAY!

    You're correct on the key, it will use the 7 or 8.1 key. FINE, THANKS!

    There is no 10 key to use after. MS SAID YOU CAN THEN DO A CLEAN INSTALL, BUT WITH WAHT KEY?

    If all 10 keys are the same or generally "common" for upgraders, I suppose the original 7/8.1 keys will still work on 10. Just my guess!!!

    The key will be the one used for the upgrade, which will be stored at MS.
    You will not have to enter anything.

    I'm not really talking about "UPGRADE". Wanted to know "CLEAN INSTALL".

    Again, when you do the clean install, you will not need a key.

    It is not doubt, it is quoting fact from MS.

    Read here: Installing Windows 10 using the media creation tool - Windows Help , you'll find the following written about doing a clean install and it asks you for a key:

    "Note

    If you upgraded to Windows 10 on this PC by taking advantage of the free upgrade offer and successfully activated Windows 10 on this PC in the past, you won't have a Windows 10 product key, and you can skip the product key page by selecting the Skip button. Your PC will activate online automatically so long as the same edition of Windows 10 was successfully activated on this PC by using the free Windows 10 upgrade offer. "
