Home and Pro are same, it's just a license that makes it one or other.
They're not the same. The esd sizes are different and they generate different iso names.

I know of few Core 2 Duo @1.6 GHz and 2 GB of RAM with IDE HDD that runs W 10 even better than XP.
I have an older Asus EeePC 1015 netbook that came with Windows 7 Starter and it ran like a dog. When I upgraded to Windows 10 Preview, it was like a whole new machine. Much more responsive in almost every category.

That seems to be happening to quite a few people. Could be that it's not the 29th yet? Did you ever get the window telling you that it's ready to install?

Hopefully not, Steve, but who knows. I've gotten the same; two that I know of; haven't checked lately.

It is a little disconcerting, though, to say the least. We'll know by morning.

No, I never got any notices. I just restarted and the computer is running but the screen is black. I have been just waiting to see what is going to happen before I do a hard shutdown. It's been about 15 minutes now. I'll give it a few more before I restart it. It seems to me that even during the upgrade, it should not do that. Plus, I can do a clean install of 10 in about 5 minutes.

It's fun watching all the excitement building up in the anticipation of the official release of Windows 10. Reminds me of standing in line with my son at midnight for the release of Windows 95! I think I like this way best. I've had every beta from the beginning of windows. This is the smoothest. YMMV Anyway, Bring it on!
