Whoop! Whoop! Whoop! I now have the Windows - BT folder! Only 140 mb so far, but that's OK . . . it's awhile until tomorrow. :)
    Have a look in c:\windows\sofwaredistribution\download

then a sub folder with todays date on it, more files also in that

It will only be 140 MB for a while, and then suddenly it will be over 3 GB. Check your modem lights/network activity - I'll be stuff is streaming in at high speed. Alphnumeric suggests that maybe it builds the esd file in a temporary folder or something, then moves it to ~BT.

(Final size of the ~BT folder on my system (Windows 7 Home Premium) is 3.32 GB.)

OK! And now my next question is . . . will these tips work if I were to be back at the "no option screen"?
I believe you'd have to boot into an OS, and then you could get to them and make modifications.

All my computers are off, except for this W10 lappy. I have a W7 machine I am troubleshooting right now for someone, a person on the way over here with discs for me to cut in 5 minutes, another person contacting me this morning to finish backing up their computer before the upgrade, and I have to leave in 2 hours to take the kid somewhere. I just can't deal with downloads right now. I will wait until later....

Wynona, are you getting downloads into your trial win 10 partition or just into your win 8/7 partition? I feel stupid for asking that but I thought we were to get a new download in our trial partition???

Yes I'm getting downloads on my Windows 10 partition. When I shut down in order to boot to Windows 8.1, I got the all too familiar "Working on updates. Don't turn off your computer." stuff with restarts and all.
