Yes there are. VMWare croaks with more than 1 processor assigned.
I just run OpenSuse and Mint with 3 cores and 4GB on each and works OK.

Not sure why, but I have still not gotten the 15204 update for my Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL. Still on 1703 15063.138 and every time I check for updates it says non are available. Any ideas? And I'm on the Insider Fast ring, always have been on this phone.

I have had a bad feeling towards these first 2 new builds aiming for next major release. Seems my suspicions towards all the internal issues are finally revealing themselves.

The builds has felt glichy from the start, not that anything has crashed for me yet. Just an overall bad vibe.
    - the glitches appear erratic as well..
    - which all adds to the fun..

    - it's not as stable as the Creator's Update I have installed on my laptop..

    Of course.

You don't actually assign cores to anything (normally) - you tell the hypervisor that is what they should present to the guest.

There are a lot of old myths about assigning the guest one less than the number of processors (or cores, mythology is odd) on your processor(s).

It is nonsense really. If you run Hyper-V or another type 1 it will sort it out. If you run a type 2 then it is up to the OS to decide.

I have a Core 2 Duo and I can set 16 processors allocated to one VM. All it means is the VM sees 16. I still only have two cores and only one processor.

The questions was if WM Player is locking up under those conditions and that's what I answered.

I honestly doubt it - I think you were correct.

Everything was fine but until last night:
    - Store won't open
    - Mail won't open
    - Calendar won't open
    & maybe others...
