And Discovered my Desktop picked up Home Key from Bios, and can't get back to my original Pro version lol, and system image restore I tried earlier today, also picked up Home lol

So my options are back to 15063 after backing up files again, Getting 15063 back to Pro, then attempt upgrade again tomorrow to Fall Creators update, and pray it keeps Pro, Run Activation trouble shooter tomorrow and try to get this one back to Pro on current install, at least I got extra money saved in case this kills my Western Digital 250gb SSD, so guess not too worried on extra writes right now, just want my system on my Pro version so Remote Desktop works form Phone when I wanna use it at times
If you had Pro digitally activated I think you can use the generic key to reactivate.

Yeah didn't work for some reason, not sure if it's cause of I used the leaked Media Creation info to upgrade to Fall Creators or what, maybe will retry tomorrow, and if not grab an official iso, and redo the entire install if I have to

I think the official ISO would be the right way to go.

Doing a "change product key" from the activation screen, and entering this key VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T will upgrade Home to Pro. It's the generic Pro key you get with a Digital License. If that PC already has a DL for Pro it will activate automatically. It should. I've done the above for the same reason. My laptop has a Windows 8.0 Core embedded key.
What I do on that PC is put a PID.txt file, with the above key in it, in the sources folder of the install media. That will auto install Pro and ignore the OEM embedded key.

Here is the results of that, Next media is gonna have PID text in it so I don't have to deal with this hopefully again lol. I had to go thru Chat help just to get Pro working on here with 15063 Edition, pain in the rear lately lol

I'll be testing the upgrade from Home to Pro with that key tomorrow or the next day. I'm going to do a clean install on that laptop with the 8.0 core key to see if they are still looking for Windows 8 keys. I want to see if I can go from Home to Pro to Education etc with a change key anyway. Lots of other scenarios to test also.

Yeah hopefully good results, usually that has worked in the past, not sure why not now, but guess if I have to redo install, then so be it lol

I have 2 desktop PC's and 2 laptops to upgrade. I'll likely only do one actual upgrade though. The rest will all be clean installs. All my extra testing I'll do on my beater backup desktop PC. Just to save wear and tear on my main PC's.

Yeah appreciate the tests, waiting til tomorrow before I attempt major fix of this lol, willing to call Microsoft activation line if I need to tomorrow lol, I don't have a beater backup PC to test on, so this one has to deal with the mistakes I make lol, at least I got money saved up for future replacement SSD, that one will be a nice Samsung, hopefully I treat that SSD better than my first one which is Western Digital

I hoping the rumored Pro Workstation and Pro Education editions finally show up. I have a Visual Studio Subscription (MSDN) so I can run pretty well any Edition I want. It gets me access to ISO's you can't get via the MCT. And any Product codes I need for activation. I usually run Enterprise or Pro.
