    Hello.
Not sure if I should start another thread or continue in here as it's similar.
I'll continue here and admin can move me if necessary..
Like others I checked my W10 updates after the Ransomware warnings.
My ver is 1607 OS build 14393.1198.
I noticed that a creators update ver 1703 has made 5 update attempts but failed each time. No error code but says it has failed but will keep trying?
Should I just leave it to keep trying?
I read online that MS have said some machines may be blocked because they may have issues that MS still need to resolve before the update can be downloaded.
I'm a lot in the dark here as I'm not sure if it is intentionally blocked or I need to adjust something. Seems a little strange that MS is attempting daily to do the update?

Did it fail to download or install it?

    Thank you Matthew.

I should of mentioned that, it starts to d/l reaches 25% then waits and then jumps up to 95% then onto 100%. It say complete but then quickly reports "failed to install".
Today W10 has updated this [[2017-05 Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB3150513)]] but failed to install the above Version 1703 again?

I'm not sure what is happening.

    Regards.

My computer has finally indicated that the Creators Update is available. I have W10 Pro with Windows Update set to notify but don't download or install. I prefer using the MCT to do the upgrade. Will Windows update attempt to apply the CU as part of the upgrade process? Do I have to "hide" it first before using the MCT to do the upgrade?

No - just use MCT - it will be fine. Actually, this has proven to generally be a more reliable way of upgrading anyway.

You should be at 14393.1198. 14393.693 was released in January. There have been four cumulative updates since then. Does your update history show any update failures? You should determine why updates are not being applied to your computer. Microsoft is slowly sending out the Creators Update depending on your computer's ability to handle it. I would not mess with it at this point until you get the initial notification.
